Hi Roy,

Just wanted to let you know we ordered a few more pics from Grace’s 6 month session. She is now 18 months and going to be a big sister….we are expecting in October. We are now living in MI and wish you were closer by to have done her 1 year photos and photos of the new baby on the way. We had her one years taken by someone here and I have to say the pics you took of her in the past way stood above in quality and capturing her true look and personality. Anyway, I had to order a few more pics from her 6 month sesson before it expired! Great job Roy! We miss you!

It was the end of the session, and I asked Michael’s mom if there was any other shot that she had in mind… The answer came pretty quickly and before I knew it the Santa outfit was already on the now sleeping (3 week old) baby.

I don’t use the Christmas tree often but in this case the “conditions” were perfect: A Beautifully decorated tree with plenty of gifts, a sleeping newborn baby dressed in a santa outfit and a box that fit him just perfectly…

He was so comfortable sleeping there that we almost didn’t feel the need to get him out of there…

Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Michaela at her home in Park Slope Brooklyn.

On a recent Sunday afternoon I got back to my desk to find a couple of emails and a voicemail from a new mommy named Tania, who apparently was very eager to book a newborn session for her baby a.s.a.p.

Tania told me she had taken her 2 week old baby to a portrait studio and had an overall unpleasent experience, “it was cold and the guy wasn’t very patient or nice”…

Apparently little Anthony Jr. was letting everyone know he wasn’t happy to be there and the session was canceled, which led Tania to start googling for a photographer on Long Island who would come to her home and set up a studio there…. the rest is history.

I had a great time working with Tania and her husband Anthony… we took our time and, as I always do, gave Anthony Jr. a couple of breaks whenever he was starting to get a little cranky.

I don’t know if he was just gassy or what, but this baby had so many different expressions and sooo much character… He even did his trademark “Elvis” a couple of times…

and even smiled on a couple of occasions…

On my ride home from the session I already received a call from one of Tania’s friends, as well as this super nice email from Tania :

It was so great meeting you Roy! You were AMAZING! I just feel bad that you wouldn’t let us buy you lunch. AJ was so good with you. I will definitely recommend you to my friends–I already bragged about you on Facebook…
