New York Photographer (.com), is the new blog for Photography By Roy

My name is Roy Somech, and I am a professional photographer serving clients in the New York metro area.
I work with clients in NYC, Long Island, Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey.


The majority of my work is Portraits, specifically, Newborns & Babies, Maternity, Couples/Engagements, Family Portraits, and Children. I also do plenty of Pet Photography as well as Commercial work (anything from Headshots, to Bands and Product Photography).

What you can expect when hiring me

Aside from what should be obvious (things like high quality work and creativity in your session) I also like to think that my super laid back and friendly personality play a big part in why clients have me come back to their homes again and again.

While I am officially out of the wedding business, I am more than happy to still offer the Love story session (Engagement photos) to couples who are interested in my work.

Engagement Photography sessions can take place anywhere on Long Island or the streets of New York City.
Manhattan has a lot of variety to offer, while long island engagement photos allow for more serene and intimate sessions (beaches, parks).

Current pricing on love story Photography is: $350 session fee which includes up to 2.5 hours of shooting on location. plus 10 5×7′s and 2 8×10′s. A private online gallery allows you to share your Engagement photos with friends and family.
